My mom her age is 65 year she is suffering from umbilical hernia and defect measure approx 7.0cm

If it is cosmetically disfiguring big swelling, you can go ahead with surgery. If she is having any other significant problems like diabetes, heart disease, and kidney problems due to her age, you can decide after seeing the risk of anesthesia.
