Tuberculosis

Hi, I've been on tb medication for 2 months and feel healthy now. Before that I had fever for 30 days and lost a lot of weight too. Chest CT suggested tb as the lymph nodes were enlarged. ESR was slightly high. However, after getting an EBUS Test and FNAC done, all the reports were negative, including afb culture. The doctor still went ahead with tb treatment. Is it possible for all reports to be negative even after me having tb?

Hii Most of the TB cases are clinically diagnosed , rather than microbiologically confirmed. As your symptoms have improved, please continue to take TB medications for the entire schedule. For detailed evaluation and management please consult Pulmonologist.
