If your T4 levels are within normal range and you are experiencing no other or very mild symptoms of hypothyroidism, then you probably have subclinical hypothyroidism. However, it can only be confirmed by evaluation of other symptoms and weight stats. Also, 5.5 is mildly high, so can give a shot for yoga and pranayam before embarking upon a hormonal treatment. Do bhramari pranayam daily twice, once surely in early morning. Other yoga poses may help you too. Consult a yoga practitioner.
