Tramadol for depression and anxiety.

I have been suffering from anxiety and depression for 15 years. I have tried all the SSRI AND SNRI. It has helped me to an extent but not much. One day, i just randomly took an ultracet for neck pain and took it for around 3 days, and i felt normal and happy with no side effects like low libido, fatigue, weight gain, etc. It helped me with my depression more  than any other medications. I take it two times a day.  Studies have shown that low dose tramdol can help with depression. Now, can i take Ultracet or plain Tramadol for life? Is it safe? Will it affect my liver or kidneys?

Tramadol is an opioid with addiction potential. It won't help in depression. A temporary relief you may get, but it is a dangerous drug to use in this condition. You have to consult a psychiatrist for adjustment of medication dosage for depression and psychotherapy. There is treatment available for depression which is resistant to usual antidepressants as in your case.
