Hello, you need to visit a dentist and get it checked. get an x-ray done. pain could be due to infection to the root of the tooth, you need to get it treated. then get a crown placed over it.

The tooth must be cariously fractured or pulp (tooth inside portion) polyp and hence there must be overgrowth of the adjacent gum or pulp.advisable will be going for root canal of the tooth.

What u r saying pulp is generally part of gum grown inside cavity. RCT is remedy for it. Visit an endodontist.

The particular tooth may be saved by doing a RCT or will have to be removed. The flesh that has filled the tooth is called pulp polyp. Start a course of antibiotics (dentist prescribed) for the infection. Warm saline gargles several times a day can help relieve the pain temporarily.
