Tooth pain is due to two reasons... one is due to infection of teeth that reaches pulp layer ( nerves and blood vessels) and other may be due to impacted wisdom teeth ...First and foremost x-ray has to be taken to rule out the causes of tooth ache... if it is due to infection of teeth then root canal treatment is necessary...if it is due to wisdom teeth that needs surgical removal of teeth...Medication is only temporary relief.... you need to treat it by visiting dentist for permanent cure

first the cause of swelling should be rule out....u should consult an endodontist(rct specialist) for better outcome

Swelling will take 3to 5 days to get subside,till then continue your medicines.

There is a course of Antibiotics, it will take time to work properly, generally it will take 3 to 5 days to control dental infection. Take keterol DT pain killers till then.
