Tooth filling inflammation?
Since i had my dental filling(whitish colour), my cheeks first turned brownish, then after using kenacort for 2-3 weeks the pigmentation reduced a lot, after that i see redness is forming most of the time, i have marked the redness in adjacent to where the filling has been done.
As per my knowledge, only amalgam fillings can cause that..
I am not sure what material was used for my filling but it's whitish material (like plaste of paris), its over a month and this is not reducing now redness is increasing...
I had dental checkups they said hyperpigmentation, nothing to worry. But i want a cause for this, is it because of fillings?

By seeing the picture the redness is spread over the middle of the cheek at the level where opposing tooth clench each other, so it might be traumatic in orign

follow up the size of the redness, if it increases and cause ulcer u need to consult dentist. otherwise it's nothing to worry

It looks very normal. Pigmentation can happen any where in mouth on ur gums or cheek mucosa.its not because of filling specially white filling as u said..it might be composite or glass ionomer cement.which are biocompatable. Silver Amalgam fillings can cause Pigmentation . Don't worry u have nothing..even if u have doubt go to dentist do biopsy of the site and send for laboratory tests.
