Hi, I've attached 2 pics below. Can you please tell me if there's a cavity in the first pic? Also what exactly is that small swollen thing in the gum, is that a mouth ulcer on the gum ? And in the second pic my tongue has become slightly blackish in the first half and dark reddish in the later half? What exactly is that and why is that happening.

In the first picture, it's difficult to definitively determine the presence of a cavity without a proper clinical examination and potentially dental X-rays. It's best to consult a dentist to assess the condition of your teeth accurately. The small swollen thing in the gum could potentially be a variety of things, including a minor irritation, a small bump, or even a mouth ulcer. If it persists or causes discomfort, it's advisable to consult a dentist for a proper diagnosis. Regarding the changes in your tongue's color, changes in tongue color can occur due to various factors such as diet, oral hygiene, medications, smoking, and more. A slightly blackish or dark reddish color could potentially be related to staining from certain foods, beverages, or habits. If you're concerned about the changes in your tongue's appearance, it's a good idea to have a dentist or a healthcare professional examine it. For accurate diagnoses and advice tailored to your specific situation, it's recommended to consult a dentist in person. They can provide you with a proper evaluation and guidance based on your individual oral health.

Hi, Your tongue seems normal. Are you having any symptom like burning sensation or pain? The tooth seems to have a very small decay. It is better to visit a dentist to rule out the decay. The small swelling that you are concerned about could be an ulcer. Wait for a day and then see if is causing any pain. Otherwise if you have no symptom, leave it alone and it will heal.
