To Prevent Pregnancy
Hello, i wanted to ask about some questions related to avoiding pregnancy. I want to use birth control method like contraceptives to avoid pregnancy. And since i have irregular periods i don't know when I'm ovulating or when it's my "safe days" to avoid getting pregnant. So i wanted to ask 5 questions-
1. Which contraceptive is more effective - combination oral contraceptive pill that's use for 21 days or emergency pills? And which pill(brand/name) is more effective in avoid pregnancy?
2. Can i take emergency pill even if i don't know when I'm ovulating after having unprotected sex? If yes, then which pill(name)?
3. Can i continuosly take emergency pill for 5 days before unprotected sex to get maximum protection from pregnancy and take emergency pill again after unprotected sex? Even after having multiple times of unprotected sex?
4. Which pill really delays the ovulation - combination oral contraceptive or emergency pill?
5. Which day should i take the cocp or ecp?

Oral contraceptive pills are better in your case.
If you take oral contraceptive pills regularly then your periods will become regular. So you will not have to think about the date of ovulation and emergency contraception .

Oral contraceptive pills for 21 days is the best method Ipill has high failure rate. Even after taking 50% chances are there that you can get pregnancy. Also it increases a chance of tubal pregnancy so it is always better to take oral contraceptive pills that will also regularise your periods and control your hormone imbalance.
