I have TSH of 8.4. This is above normal range for a male. But I don't see any major symptoms or changes in my health Bcos of this . I am not keen on taking medicine as they say once you start medication you will have to take it for life ( is this true) Are there any alternative to medicine to bring down TSH to a normal range ?

Dieting or exercise doesn't normalise TSH levels... So u need to tablets as delay in taking might increase TSH levels tremendously
