Thyroid antibody level high

2020-06-07 08:13:07
My postpartum thyroidTSH level went up to 12. Took 50mcg for 2 months but made no difference (became 11.1). Then Took 100mcg for 3 months. Now TSH is 0.725, T4 is 12.3. But My thyroid antibody level came out to be high value of 103.06. There's no family history of thyroid. Should I still continue with 100mcg or the dosage should be reduced? How can thyroid antibody be controlled?

You should consult an endocrinologist for this You might need to get more tests done.

Generally treatment is directed towards thyroid replacement and ur thyroid antibodies suggest that you need a definitive replacement ( to simplify)..there is no medication against thyroid antibodies per se.. Generally it's advisable to continue thyroid medication..but if u lost weight, ur dosage needs to be reduced..? Keep a watch on ur symptoms , especially weight changes , heat or cold intolerance, any palpitations or tremors ...in general
