Throbbing pain at the back of head

2022-08-20 18:25:48
I'm having a throbbing pain at the back of my head since mory. It is located right behind my ears towards the base of the head (picture attached). There is some pain around my eyes too and near the temple region. I'm having difficulty looking down or lifting objects. It is also painful when loud sounds come to my ears or when light falls directly on my eyes. Additionally I feel slightly nauseous. I've been going through a lot of stress due to work for the past few days and have had few hours of sleep unfortunately. Can anyone help, please?🙏 I have disprin at home and a heating pad. Should I apply warm compress to the back of my head?

You need a proper physical examination by an ENT specialist and a Neuro-physician.

The way you are describing your pain, seems to be migraine. There are more than 100 types of headache and each with a different management. I would strongly suggest you to consult with a pain management doctor for further management and avoid self medicating.
Next Steps
You can do some hot compress.
Health Tips
Avoid fasting for long periods or travelling for long distances as both increase this pain.
