Answer the following questions when you say blood in mucus do you mean blood in sputum? it has happened for the 4th time in what time frame? Were you prescribed the antibiotics or did you take them on your own?, if prescribed what were you daignosed with and what antibiotics did you take for how long and at what dose? with the throat infection did you have difficulty swallowing or breathing , or pain while doing either? was the throat infection associated with other symptoms such as cold, cough , sneeze? are you a smoker? were you in contact with someone who had similar complaints? do you work as a teacher or generally around children? do you get this blood in mucus in the morning and notice it when you are going to brush? Are you a lean person, that is thin built low weight? Do you have stomach acidity?
Next Steps
I'd advice to stay away from over the counter antibiotics as they have a tendency to form bugs which over time become resistant to antibiotics. You can visit a microbiology/pathology lab and get the following tests done, if convenient 1. sputum culture and sensitivity 2. throat swab culture and sensitivity
Health Tips
Avoid taking drugs by yourself without consulting a doctor, stay healthy

Blood in mucus is a serious matter. Please consult a General Physician or an ENT specialist in your area. You should be investigated to exclude Tuberculosis. At times even severe infection of tonsils can lead to blood in mucus but that infection doesn't get cured so easily.
