Three year old speech delayed
My son completed three years on the ,27th april.he says mamma, Baba and few words at times if he wishes but mostly he doesn't say much words and whenever we try to make him speak he is not very much keen and gets agitated.he understands everything we tell him.please advise what has to be done.
Proper evaluation and exclusion of hearing difficulties and ASD should be part of management... In any case.. early stimulation and speech therapy is a necessary management and should be speedily taken up.. as also parent training. Regards.

By 3 years normally speech will be well developed and they should be able to sing a nursery rhyme
needs his detailed developmental history
Needs to find out whether his hearing is proper
He needs detailed assessment by developmental paediatrician, speech therapist and ENT surgeon too
