My husband is diabetic since 08 years, his age is 49 . At present on metformin and trajenta. Now his fasting bld sugar is 193, blood pressure is 130/86 . No other symptoms. Kindly suggest the tests need to taken for further management.

Fasting glucose level of 193 indicates that his diabetes is uncontrolled with present medicine.He may need increase in the dose ,/ adding newer medicine.Ideally he should check his fasting glucose ,2 hours Post prandial glucose level and HBA1C., renal function tests and urine analysis inc microalbuminuria
