Do we need to add 0 5°F or 1°F to axillary temperature??Kindly reply Yesterday  i had been to the hospital for a minor forehead injury..My underarm temp reading  was 98°F at that time,but the nurse wrote 99°F in case sheet..When I asked her about it she told me thats the rule.. I'm confused..Please tell me whether addition is required or not..

Axillary temp is slightly lower,so the addition is ok.
