Hello doctors, Please let me know what should be done to maintain dental          hygiene after food.

- Drink fluoridated water and brush with fluoride toothpaste. - Brush teeth thoroughly twice a day and floss daily between the teeth to remove dental plaque. - Visit your dentist at least once a year, even if you have no natural teeth or have dentures. - Do not use any tobacco products. If you smoke, quit. - Limit alcoholic drinks. - If you have diabetes, work to maintain control of the disease. This will decrease risk for other complications, including gum disease. Treating gum disease may help lower your blood sugar level. - Rinse after eating anything. - Get the cleaning of teeth done once in a year.

After having meals like lunch and dinner the following steps should be followed for proper maintenance of Your oral hygiene 1) Rinsing the mouth with water thoroughly 2) Brushing the teeth in a proper manner with   soft bristle toothbrush and a toothpaste 3) Flossing in between the teeth with a dental floss 4) Rinsing with a mouthwash. Note : Mouthwash should not be used regularly as it can cause staining of teeth Have a regular dental checkup after every six months to monitor your Oral Health
