  4. TB of spine. Is contagious. pls guide.

Hello one of my close family member has TB of Spine L4 and L5 discs. He is undergoing treatment involving surgery and 9 month medication. I want to check if this diesease can spread at home or is contagious. Pls guide.

Dear Sir, TB is contageous, it spreads mainly from a pulmonary TB(lungs ) , spinal TB as such is not contageous until the person also has lung tb or any open wound. Second thing is keeping nutrition level high of all those in contact.
