Taper Clonazepam 1 mg 👋 Hello! Thank you for your question. Tapering off Clonazepam (1 mg) should always be done gradually and under medical supervision, especially if you've been taking it for a long time. Stopping it suddenly may lead to withdrawal symptoms like anxiety, insomnia, tremors, or even seizures.
Next Steps
🔽 Suggested Slow Taper Plan: If you're taking 1 mg once daily, a common approach is: ⏳ Time    💊 Dose Week 1–2   0.75 mg at night Week 3–4. 0.5 mg Week 5–6   0.25 mg Week 7       0.125 mg or alternate days Week 8.     Stop ⏱️ Hold each dose for at least 1–2 weeks depending on how you feel.
Health Tips
✅ Tips for smoother tapering: Practice good sleep hygiene 🛌 Avoid caffeine and screen time before bed ☕📵 Try relaxation techniques like deep breathing, meditation, or yoga 🧘‍♂️ Let me know immediately if you feel anxious, dizzy, or notice any other troubling symptoms ⚠️ Important: Please don’t stop clonazepam suddenly. We can adjust the taper pace based on your comfort. If needed, I can also support you with safer alternatives during withdrawal.

If you are taking for long time then make it half the dose.later take it on alternate days and stop. But your issue may not be insomnia. It can be associated with other issue like non clinical or clinical depression which you have not mentioned here

Half the dose you are taking previously weekly for 2-3 weeks and then stop.but before that consultation is required to know exactly why you were taking medication ,and why you want to stop it,,if the symptoms have not subsided n you stop the drug,it can be a trouble for you

One mg is too small a dose. I don't know why you got Clonazepam for 6 months and whether all those symptoms have ameliorated . So I will like to leave it to your Doctor to taper the dose of Clonazepam.

Reduce slowly: 0.75 mg for 1 week → 0.5 mg for 1 week → 0.25 mg for 1 week → stop. ✅ Taper under doctor supervision.

As you said you are on clonazepam, it is a drug which will show side effects if stopped abruptly, and also cause relapse of your symptoms for which you were getting treated which can last for months . Pleasee do consult, and share your history to get a better opinion.
Next Steps
Continue recommended doses
Health Tips
Tapering will be slow and weekly changes would be suggested, if you experience any discomfort please consult a doctor immediately

You mentioned you're on clonazepam for a month and want guidance on tapering the dose. It’s wise to taper slowly, as stopping suddenly can cause withdrawal symptoms—especially with longer use. However, the tapering schedule depends on your current dose, reason for use, and how your body is responding. 👉 I recommend you consult me directly so I can guide you safely through a personalized taper plan: https://www.practo.com/rewa/doctor/amit-kumar-patel-generalphysician
