My mom has been having swelling in the right leg ankles - sometimes with/without pain. And this causes foot pain for her often if she is not on rest. Blood/urine/kidney/liver/heart tests are normal. Please help if this is a bone (or) nerve issue. She has flat feet.

Do contrast bath. Apply RICE method:-R-rest,I-icing,C-compression,E-elevation.

Swelling in an elderly female can be due to hormonal issues, gout or vitamin and calcium deficiency. Your problem is both bony and physiological. Medications like Identical K2, D3MUST60K, Evion and Tendocare will all help. Local hot water bath and exercises will help. Compression stocking will help reduce edema.
