Does swelling in legs , thighs , hips has any relation with worn out cartilage in knees? My mom thinks that it will be due to knees cartilage which is worn out ....what are the complications with the knee cartilage worn out...

Worn out cartilage means developing osteoarthritis . More worn out means more osteoarthritis means more pain , difficulty in walking/ sitting/ limiting day to day activity .
