To judge out the cause for swelling an x ray will be required to examine the root canal treatment done in 47 tooth before placing the crown..The margins of crown and the gum area has to be examined clinically alongwith the adjacent teeth to come upto reason for pain and swelling..

Check whether the treatment done on the tooth is successful or not. Also fracture of the tooth or inflammation in wisdom tooth can cause swelling. Please check out with proper consultation from a dentist by X-ray
