Suffering from fistula

I am suffering from fistula and having Kasharsutra treatment from 5th April 2024. Since then 5 threads have been changed till now. I am hereby attaching my fistulonomy report. Kindly guide me how much time my fistula will take to heal.

It may take approximately upto 8-10 weeks of Ksharasutra thread change for the tract to cut completely. After that it may take upto 1-2 months for complete healing. The healing time depends on your immunity and your lifestyle & diet. Work on improving your immunity to boost healing and avoid Smoking, Alcohol if any( these may delay the process of cutting & healing also) Thank you. Wish you speedy recovery!!

Usually, 0.5-1 cm healing of the fistula tract is expected per Ksharsutra change. It is assessed by measuring the length of Ksharsutra at every visit. So it will be better if you ask about the no. of ksharsutra changes required for complete healing to your treating Proctologist. MRI findings are not conclusive all the time regarding measurements of the fistula tract. so trust your treating Proctologist.....
