Dear human, I can understand this must be very difficult for you. You've take your first step in your mental health journey by reaching out for help. I understand that it’s not easy to be in your position, and I appreciate your courage and grit.
This stress and any associated emotions can be due to many reasons and given the COVID circumstances the intensity can be very high. Your emotions are completely valid :) I would recommend you approach a psychologist and take therapy. I assure you that therapy will benefit you and help you deal with any conflicts and worries in life better and take you in the direction of leading a more fulfilled life.
In the meanwhile try the following-
1. 5-4-3-2-1 exercise - Whenever you feel like you’re getting into the spiral of overthinking or you feel stressed out, take few slow and deep breaths and name five things in your environment that you can see, four things that you can hear, three things that you can touch, two things that you can smell and one thing you can taste.
2. You might also want to try and write about what’s worrying you and view your problem from a distance.
3. Talk to someone- while I understand that it’s not easy to approach someone and discuss your problems, I can also assure you that speaking to someone you trust and love can really help.
4. Look after yourself- take some time out for yourself, make yourself your priority, ensure that you’re eating well, sleep well, and look after your body. Indulge in hobbies, do what you like to do or once liked to do. Take time off of work or any obligations and allow yourself some time to get better. Also, try and stay away from anything that is bothering you and tends to stress you out.
Hope this helps :) Take care!
