Hello I hear you and I understand how difficult it might be for you! But I am happy that you took the first step to reach out, it's a big step in itself. Social anxiety can be really difficult to handle and I'm sorry that you have to go through that
Some tips for you to reduce social anxiety are:
1. Start Small: Meeting one friend a day is a good step, do not force yourself in crowded situations. Take small step at a time
2. Whenever you find yourself in an uncomfortable social situation try to control your breathing. Anxiety can cause changes in your body that make you uncomfortable. For example, your breathing might get fast and shallow. This can make you even more anxious. You might feel tense, dizzy, or suffocated.
Certain techniques can help you slow your breathing and manage other anxiety symptoms. Try these steps:
Sit down in a comfortable position with your back straight.
Relax your shoulders.
Put one hand on your belly and the other on your chest.
Breathe in slowly through your nose for 4 seconds. The hand thatâs on your belly will rise and the one on your chest shouldnât move much.
Hold your breath in for 2 seconds and then slowly let it out through your mouth for 6 seconds.
Repeat this several times until you feel relaxed.
You can try these few techniques and alternatively you can reach out to a therapist for help. I know things may seem really difficult right now but Stay Strong and things will be better soon
