I would suggest you to see your Dermatologist to review the treatment as there are many treatment options available ranging from creams/ gel to oral medication. Acne scars can be treated by various modalities like chemical peels, derma roller, laser resurfacing etc. Your dermatologist will suggest the right treatment for you based on the assessment. If you are not satisfied with your current dermatologist you can seek second opinion.
