Sgot, sgpt and crp

Is it normal for sgot, sgpt and crp levels to increase during throat infection. My wife is having fever since last 2 days. Her dengue test came our negative. However the below values are elevated SGOT 44 SGPT  45 CRP 28.3 ESR 27 She is taking antibiotics since yesterday after consulting a general physician. Her platelets have also been reduced to 1.84 lakhs from 2.46 lakhs in 2 days of fever

It is not normal for SGOT, SGPT and CRP to rise during throat infection but it is also not normal to get these investigations done for a simple case of throat infection. I hope you have got her CBC also done. Platelet count falls in every Viral infection. The only thing is that in Dengue the fall of platelet count is rather profound.

The values which you have mentioned it is absolutely expected in any infection or fever So do not worry, follow the doctor advise, continue the medicines as prescribed If she develops any new symptoms or condition doesn’t improve kindly consult the doctor in person ok All the parameters will get back to normal, once her symptoms will go off, once she feels completely back to normal
