After taking ssri for 7 days and leaving it ..i'm having self harming thoughts and anxiety...should i start it taking again or stop immediately

SSRIs will take 2-4 weeks to act. Stopping It might not be the reason for your self harming thoughts, rather it is likely due to the primary emotional disorder for which it was prescribed. Consult your psychiatrist and get the doses adjusted properly. Good luck

SSRI should be taken for atleast 4-6 weeks for appropriate response and continued even further to prevent relapse.

It is very common to experience more severe anxiety symptoms at the start of the treatment. Be patient with the treatment , and give some tome for the medicine to achieve the required level in the body. The effect may only be felt after 10-15 days of the start of the treatment.
