Scratchy throat followed by fever of 101

Hello.. I had scratchy throat yesterday. Today, the throat is fine, but i have developed a fever from 101 to 101.5 since morning. I have taken enought rest, warm water, but it hasn't improved. Don't have cold or cough. What is this a symptom of? Any measures i should take?

Fever with a sore throat without any cold or cough is usually associated with bacterial pharyngitis. Continue warm water gargling with salt,and analgesics for fever. You may need antibiotics
