It could be a possible reinfection. .or maybe it has not been done properly in the first time. . Kindly get an X ray done and get it treated by an endodontist. .root canal specialist. .The pain will relieve and the tooth can be saved.

An xray needs to be done for the concerned tooth to evaluate the root canal done previously. Based upon that further treatment can be decided. But u need to see a dentist first.

Hello, Mam,do visit an endodontist and get the root canal reviewed.Sometimes it can get reinfected. They will take an x-ray and check if any problem exists in the surrounding hard/soft tissues as well. Regards DR SUMAN MAKAM

Reasonable opinion cannot be provided without having a look at the X-ray to evaluate the status of the root canal treatment that was done 6 months ago..... you might require retreatment for the tooth if the RCT that was done previously was not done properly, or any other local infection or inflammation needs to be checked for and corrected, if found.... Regards....

The RCT may have some issues. You need a good radiograph to get to the root cause. Update us.. Regards Kush oral surgery clinic.  Bengaluru
