Good morning sir .just now doctor extracted my wisdom tooth and they put cotton at removed place .how much time I have to keep that cotton in my mouth

Keep the cotton swab for atleast an hour,,have a plain cup icecream,,donot spit on the first day,,have cold soft diet for 2-3 days,,and start rinsing after 24 hours with lukewarm water and a pinch of salt about 6-7 times daily.
