Your cheek issue and tooth extraction for braces are 2 different treatment procedures. Visit an oral surgeon and an orthodontist for right opinion.

Your presentation is not clear enough to understand your concern..... you need to get a proper clinical examination done by a dentist for the right diagnosis of your problem only after which the appropriate treatment can be as advised to you.... it is also not clear whether you have been advised braces or the braces have already been put on your teeth..... the dentist who has done the clinical examination and radiographic examination will be the best person to tell you whether extractions are required for teeth alignment or not..... also it is difficult to understand why braces were advised to you when your primary concern was some growth or enlargement in the cheek..... Regards.....

Hello dear, You told that you had swelling on the right cheek from inside and the braces were put on yoir teeth. Were the braces placed on your teeth because of swelling or your teeth were not in alignment. You also said that you took weight gain supplements. I am not sure about their unilateral effect on the swelling though. The swelling on one side could be due to some tooth infection or other bone infection. Sometimes the tooth is asymptomatic yet it is harboring a infection and the inflammation converts into cyst which causes swelling. Get a detailed radiographic examination done. Regarding the braces, the treating dentist is the best judge of the space management of your teeth and their alignment. If some space issues are bothering the alignment, then extraction is the fastest and safest method to creat space provided the space gained is in sync with the space required. Smaller spaces can also br acheived by proximal stripping of your teeth. Please get orthodontic evaluation done by models and rafiographs from your orthodontist. Hope this clears your doubt. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Sundeep

Dear Patient, May I know your full name pls? It seems from the history that its the side effect of weight gain tabs. So can you think of any other supplements which does not have any side effect. It might be a muscular hypertrophy. Please take the proper advise from a nutritionist and physician only to have such kind of supplements. In case ur braces has some effect on these,  need to examine you clinically. Hope this is helpful.
