If you have noticed a lining on the inner cheek that resembles a hard pellet and it doesn't cause any pain or discomfort, it's difficult to determine the exact nature of it without a thorough examination. However, there are a few possibilities that could explain its presence: Oral Mucosal Lesion: It could be a benign oral mucosal lesion, such as a fibroma or a mucocele. These are usually harmless and may appear as small bumps or lumps in the mouth. Fordyce Granules: These are small, yellowish or white spots that can appear on the inner cheeks or other areas of the mouth. They are harmless and represent sebaceous glands. Trauma or Irritation: Sometimes, if the inner cheek is accidentally bitten or irritated by sharp food particles, it can form a small, hardened area that resembles a pellet. However, to get a proper diagnosis and rule out any potential concerns, it is recommended to consult a dentist or oral healthcare professional. They can examine the area closely, take a detailed medical history, and provide you with an accurate diagnosis. If necessary, they may recommend a biopsy or further investigations to ensure your oral health and peace of mind.

If it is an asymptomatic white line on cheek mucosa along the plane of occlusion (along the meeting plane of upper and lower teeth), it is most likely linea alba and is normal. Nothing to worry! It needs no specific treatment. However if this chronic frictional irritation of mucosa increases or develops any symptoms, you may need to get a checkup done to see if there are any uneven/ ragged teeth that need some grinding/ rounding.
