I recently got a FBS test and it came out to be 104. Can I reverse it to below 100? If yes, how and how long does it take? If no, what can I do to stop it from increasing further?

Hello.. FBS between 100 to 125 suggest impaired fasting glucose type of Prediabetes stage.. But for complete understanding u need to 2 hr post meal sugar which many of times isolated abnormal, along with Hb1Ac which is average sugar of last 6 to 8 weeks will give us complete idea of your status..!! Reversal of impaired fasting is definitely possible with lifestyle modifications with wt loss at least 5 percent of present body wt with diabetic diet and exercise in upto one third of patients.. So plz start lifestyle modifications and monitor 3 to 6 monthly with FBS PLBS and Hb1Ac....
Next Steps
Diabetic diet and exercise

Diabetes due to 2 main risk factors. Modifiable risk factors and non modifiable risk factors. So what v can change modifiable risk factors like weight, good eating habits, exercise, habits and stress. So these things are under our control so if u change these u will definitely halt the progress of diabetes. But non modifiable risk factors such as genetics, family history and geographic location cannot be changed. So with good lifestyle modification u will b able to reverse diabetes for a short while.
