Good morning Sir,
With braces treatment, a key point to remember is oral hygiene, as you don't want to develop cavities during the treatment, and you need to protect your teeth until the treatment is completed.
Having braces increases the chances of food getting stuck after meals. The longer food remind stuck onto teeth, the higher risk of developing decay. It is therefore recommend to brush after EVERY meal whenever possible (morning, afternoon, night) to prevent food buildup on teeth. It is also important to brush after consuming items such as cakes and biscuits which tend to remain on teeth for longer. We also recommend the use of a fluoridated mouthwash during the treatment as well as an Interdental brush to keep all areas between tooth and braces clean
Next Steps
Use an orthodontic toothbrush/ powered tooth brush for effective cleaning along with a fluoridated toothpaste and an Interdental brush.
