For confirming pregnancy, beta hcg can be done. Very early pregnancy can be missed on transabdominal scan, transvaginal USG are better

Trans-abdomen scan, if it covers uterus ( pelvic organs) too will tell about pregnancy. However as per rules these days, pregnancy USG requires separate prescription and separate report is given.
