Consult with your doctor who prescribed melatonin, together you can plan for dose reduction, step by step.

You should consult your Doctor who prescribed the medicine. He is accountable only if you consult him regularly and follow his advice. Don't try to adjust the dose of Melatonin on the advice of any one who calls himself a Doctor.

Melatonin is safe for short-term use and can be helpful for sleep issues.. However it could be be used for long term safely with lower dose of 5-6 mg.Long-term use of melatonin may lead to decreased effectiveness and impact your natural melatonin production. Watch for side effects of excessive melatonin use, including headaches, nausea, and fatigue.
