Duolin inhaler to be taken in emergency situations.foracort to be taken daily.

Hi. I understand your concern s. Foracort is for regular twice a day use and duolin is fir emergency use.

Foracort usually act upto 12 hrs ... long acting. so it should be taken twice daily . Duolin acts upto 2 to 4hrs. So if you have any in between symptoms you can take whenever emergency.

Duolin is basically a controller inhaler, it is used to relieve or control the attack as it acts within 2 to 3 mins. On the other hand, foracort helps in  both controlling the attack and preventing future ones. The dosage depends on condition of the patient,diagnosis  and component of allergy. you should take it daily as prescribed. You can consult the doctor after the prescribed time to know how the dose need to be reduced. It takes some time for the inflammation in lungs to subside(which causes the wheeze,  Breathlessness  or cough) and only if you take regularly it will go back to normal.

duolin only for emergency purpose.. if using foracort it can also be used for emergency, no need to take duolin along with it!
