Seems to be allergic. Better to consult an ophthalmologist nearby.

Please share a close up pic of the child with information about pain redness watering discharge itching and blurring of vision Or consult an ophthalmologist nearby. As of now you can do cold compresses by ice and wash the eyes of child frequently.

It looks like allergy so not likely to spread. If the redness is less & no itching, continue the same treatment. If itching persists, consult eye specialist

Kindly mention the age of the child. Duration of the symptoms Constant rubbing or intermittent Any discharge from eye if so yellow or white mucous Any history of Allergy for the child or family history Any previous treatment history for similar reasons. Picture of the eye. Mostly children have Allergic Conjunctivitis with the symptoms you mentioned. But we have to rule out infection before we start treatment. Just Tears is just a lubricant. It gives a pseudo comfort. Consult a nearby Ophthalmologist. Or send the history in detail,so that we may advice better. Thanks

Please mention age of your kid... If below 3 years we need to modify our medication strategy...as we can't prescribe most of anti allergic drugs Yes cold compression and just tears you can safely use If he is less than 2 years I would add zyrtec syrup half table spoon everyday Or fexofenadine 10 mg syrup If more than 3 years age beposure 1.5 % eye drops twice a day If possible please send a picture...
