Hello,
Please do not panic. Based on your description, these red patches may be related to local irritation, a minor traumatic ulcer, inflammation of the cheek mucosa, or other benign oral conditions. It is not possible to make a definitive diagnosis from a photograph alone.
The fact that the lesions have been present for only 4 days is somewhat reassuring, as many inflammatory or traumatic lesions resolve on their own within 1â2 weeks.
I would recommend:
⢠Maintaining good oral hygiene.
⢠Avoiding spicy, acidic, and very hot foods.
⢠Staying well hydrated.
⢠Avoiding repeated touching or checking of the area.
If the patches increase in size, become painful, develop ulceration, bleed, or persist beyond 2 weeks, you should undergo a clinical examination by an Oral Medicine Specialist or Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.
Most oral mucosal lesions of recent onset are not serious, but a direct examination is necessary for an accurate diagnosis.
