I have a different view point. You have to have a baby. The Wife and husband have to be the same. Their genetic composition will remain the same. It can't be changed. Recurrence of congenital anomalies is known but apart from taking a Tablet Folic acid every day no other precautions can be observed. So, go ahead. Hope for the best. The incidence of recurrent congenital anomalies is very low.

As such the recurrent risk for any malformations can't be assessed individually. Start taking tablet folic acid which will protect against neural tube defects
