Receding gums are due to plaque and tartar deposits. You need thorough gum cleaning to avoid further recession of gums.

Some times if lower Anteriors teeth are slightly proclined ( little forwardly placed) than bone surrounding them too is thin from outside...So wrong brushing will cause early gingival recession problem...Check the cause i.e is it because of calculus , wrong brushing, malallined teeth ,tongue pressure,. Periodontal disease etc.

Hello, receding gums could be because of deposits on teeth surface or food lodged in between teeth. Visit a dentist and get your scaling and polishing done. Brush your teeth twice daily,Night brushing is very important. Floss regularly. Rinse after every meal. Visit dentist every 6 months.

Dear Practo User, Reason for this could be improper oral hygiene, incorrect brushing technique, trauma from your bite or anything. A definite diagnosis can only be given after clinical examination. Also, commenting about the treatment protocol would be difficult without any clinical picture or diagnosis. If its because of poor oral hygiene, then professional cleaning of teeth would be required. Wrong brushing technique can be corrected by counselling. Kindly visit a dentist nearby, a Periodontist would be better. Regards Arham Dental Care Delhi
