From what I can understand by a description you did not go for a cap on the tooth after the root canal treatment. Dislodgement of the filling is the least of our concerns in such cases. You should get yourself clinically evaluated by a dentist so that the current condition of the tooth can be evaluated whether it is amenable for restorative treatment or not. An x-ray of the tooth might also be required to aid in the judgement.
Extraction of the tooth is the last option a dentist will ever give you and even if there is some coronal structure remaining there are techniques to build that up so that a Crown can be given on the tooth and that can make the tooth functional again for a very long time.
