Whatever salt you use, the problem medically is the excess of salt in diet. So, the goal is to consume optimum or less quantity. Keep yourself well hydrated. The same thing goes for oil. In india various types of oils are used region-wise like mustard oil, coconut oil, groundnut oil, sunflower oil etc. You can consume the same oil which is traditionally consumed in your family or region. The amount should not be in excess. The total calories from fats in diet should not exceed 30%. The amount of total calories consumed in a day should depend on the level of your physical activity.
