Pulsing/throbbing pain in head

Hi, I am experiencing a very painful pulsing/throbbing pain in the top left side of my head, this happens when i move a certain way or stand up. However when im lying down its just a dull headache. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Milo
