Pulp stone issue-RCT

2016-07-06 18:00:13
I went for a RCT for a long pending cavity but the Dr says: the pulp stone is decade so RCT is not possible and i have to go for tooth removal and then put 3crown bridge. I have done one sitting of RCT when they told RCT not possible. Now i have temp filling in my tooth and it is paining . Is it possible to take chances with RCT or tooth removal is the only option?. Please suggest !

Pulp stones can be removed by various ultrasonic techniques and lasers..  A competent dentist can do a root canal effectively.  Feel free to consult Laser Smile Care Centre. God bless u.

I would suggest extraction only is tooth structure is broken off until gum level and only roots are visible. If there is just a pulp stone root canal is still possible. Get an xray of tooth done before going for any further treatment. Also get a second opinion before removal.

Pulp stones do form in long standing chronic infection cases but usually they can be removed and rct can be done..only in few cases extraction is required kindly take a second opinion before undergoing extraction..tc

Hi.. Usually if pulp stones are found, root canal is very difficult. Extraction is better followed by bridge. Regards

Pulp stones are not a hindrance for root canal treatment, those can be removed or by-passed followed by proper root canal treatment. Extraction is advised only when the tooth is grossly decayed beyond the repair. Please visit dentist immediately

An xray of the tooth will help us provide a better suggestion..... if you are talking about pulp stones they are common findings in long standing cases of tooth cavities..... most of them can be removed or bypassed and proper RCT can be done to avoid extraction..... nonetheless extraction might be the only solution if the tooth is decayed beyond repair..... and to comment on that an x-ray will be the primary requirement..... Regards.....

Sometimes pain presist during the root canal procedure. Single sitting rct only saves your time. Tooth will take some time to heal. If rct is done well. Then pain will subside after few days. if pain remains then there may be problem with rct or tooth.
