Pulp capping
I am final yr bds std.i have done pt with pulp capping.after dycal i directly use composite on that for filling. But after 2 days pt hav pain.is that correct method of filling of composite?? And reasons for pain??

What was the chief complain of pt. Before u did the procedure??
Have to taken iopa before beginning the procedure??
Either the pulp was already infected or the pulp might get exposed during the treatment ...

Do iopa and go for rct if required.

Was the tooth decayed or was it an accidental pulp exposure? In all likelihood, it must have been a decayed tooth and the pulp was already infected. If capped, then the pulpit is sets in and patient c/o severe pulpit is pain. The treatment is to do a RCT

Dear ,colleague pulp capping is s very technique sensitive or skillfull procedure with strict protocols, So if the patient complaints of pain then it might be due to pulp exposure, high points, polymerization shrinkage at certain part of a cavity etc.

Avoid pulp capping as much as possible and in this case the reason for pain will be due to infection or incomplete removal of coronal pulp.

IOPA or RVG should be taken to diagnose the current status of the tooth and should be followed by RCT which appears to be more likely treatment from what I infer.

Explain the patients about technique sensitive issues related to pulp capping if your opting it and educate them with the future recommended treatments such as RCT or even extraction in case of failure.
