My sister hav psychosis symptoms. Doctor gave her zisper forte which contains 4mg risperidone and 2 mg trihexphenydyl.  and olimelt 5 mg. now she has tongue movement. she cant speak proper. is it side effect of medicines?  is risperidone 4mg safe? In google I read risperidone rthe risk of stroke. is it true?

Hi.. Each medicine has got it's own side effects. How long she has been taking this meds? Antipsychotic could cause tongue movement disorder in susceptible individual, not in all. So please do check with your treating consultant for optimisation of dose.

What's u have described here is due to side-effects of medication... Now u can reduce risperiodone...and stop... Instead of that go with other antipsychotic...but this decission need a consultation first ...
