The following remedies will be of help:
- Avoid these foods as they have shown a character to trigger a migrane(red wines, aged cheeses, preservatives used in smoked meats (nitrates), monosodium glutamate, artificial sweeteners, chocolate, and
dairy products, alcohol)
- When the migrane comes immediately go into a dark quiet room and rest as this may give you some immediate relief
- Destress yourself with practices such as yoga, meditation, progressive muscle relaxation)
- Maintain a regular schedule for eating and sleeping
- Keep yourself well hydrated
There are other medications apart from painkillers that could be of help. If the pain persists or increases I would recommend meeting a neurologist.
