Problem after molar extraction
Dear sir/madam ,i got my third molar extracted before 12 days . After 3 or 4 days of extraction I noticed that under and side of the socket gum is displaced and bone can be seen .See attached pic. My local dentist told me the gum is shifting towars hollow socket from side , if gum is not file in 28 days at the side the at that point bone is need to cut slightly .Please suggest what to do. I am applying metronidazole gel on it.

Usually gum should cover the entire extraction site in a months time. If there are unusual bone height difference between walls of the socket then total coverage might not happen (Pic not clear). In that case (if no symptoms pain) we need to file the excess bone a bit and cover it properly with the adjacent gum tissue and suture it.
